People do not fall in love with a brand because it looks perfect. They do when it looks back and recognizes them.
Nada mejor que ser Nica.
Claro held 43% of the Nicaraguan market while its main competitor held 57%. In a category built on coverage claims and promotions, the brand needed an emotional advantage people could recognize as their own in order to become the market leader.
The challenge
Claro did not need to look bigger. It needed to feel closer—and to replace distant category aspiration with a form of recognition only the brand could own.
“Nada mejor que ser Nica. Nada mejor que ser Claro.” turned Nicaraguan pride into a warm, distinctive brand promise capable of moving both affection and business.
How the platform came to life
From an idea to a system.
- 01
Ordinary Nicaraguans, with their everyday gestures, became the protagonists.
- 02
Built a verbal platform around closeness and national pride.
- 03
Carried one emotional truth through film and integrated communication.
- 04
Protected cultural authenticity from strategy through execution.
